What does "estate jewelry" mean? Where does it come from?

Estate jewelry refers to any piece that has been previously owned, regardless of its age. We do not have a story or provenance associated with these pieces; most come from our clients who are clearing out family estates, and many do not have knowledge of where the pieces came from. All we can say for sure is that this jewelry has future potential and a lot of life left to live. Each piece is refurbished right here at our repair shop, & is ready for a new home!

Why do some item descriptions not say what type of gemstone is in the piece?

Testing gemstones to verify authenticity would increase the cost, so we have opted instead to describe most of these gemstones as simply "blue stone," "orange stone," etc. If you have questions about the gemstones in a particular piece, contact us.

Why are items described "sold as-is"?

We have high standards for the estate jewelry we sell. However, since we haven't had the piece throughout its lifetime, we can't be sure what it's gone through or what the manufacturing process was like. So unlike our new pieces, we cannot supply any warranty for estate items.
